Are you living by your core values?

Creating a body transformation for yourself is not easy. It requires a lot of work. Nutrition need to be changed, workouts need to be completed and progressed, and habits need to be formed in order for your body to undergo major change, and be able to maintain it.

But what we are talking about today is based around the mindset required to make these changes.

As we know, we need to be motivated in order to maintain the momentum of completing the tasks necessery every day of the week. But how exactly do we do this?

Whether you know it or not, you currently live and act by your highest core values. These core values are the reason why you are performing certain actions every day.

For example, if your biggest core value is freedom, then many of your actions will lead you to enjoy your adventure holidays and taking plenty of time out.

If your biggest core value is love, then this will reflect in the way you act around people.

But where does fitness come in to this? Where does a body transformation come into this?

Well, when we link our PHYSICAL goals with our HIGHEST CORE VALUES then we will find much more MOTIVATION to perform the necessery actions to achieve the physical goals.

For example, if your highest core value is success. Then how is getting fitter, stronger and leaner going to help with you becoming more successful? Because you are going to have more energy and drive to put towards your work for example, which will give you a greater success rate.

When you link your physical goals with your highest values, then you will find much more inspiration and drive to achieve them.

So how do you find out your highest CORE VALUES?

You must simply ask yourself what you want to accomplish, on an emotional and internal level, above anything else. Why do you do what you do? What is the ultimate outcome for you? What are the benefits of achieving this?

Let me ask you a few questions, you just have to fill in the blanks:

1. If you could have any one thing in your life right now, that makes your life really worth while, what would it be? ...............................

2. Do you have this (...........................) in your life right now at any level?

3. Lets say you have ................... right now, which allows you to live the life you want to live, what does this give you?

The answer to these, that is your core value. Do this task several times, you MAY get different answers. But the more you do it, the clearer you will become.

Included in this blog is an example list of core values to help you.

Once you understand your own core values, then you have to ask the following question:

1. How is transforming my body going to help me achieve my core values (...................) ?

Doing this correctly is going to greatly increase your motivation levels, give you so much more drive and inspiration and allow you to work towards your goals with much less barriers and obstacles, particularly within your own mindset!
