The 5 laws of Body Transformation

Bare with for a bit of a lesson on HOW we actually go about transforming the way that we think and act.

Transforming yourself physically is more often than not, the goal. However, achieving this is easier said than done.

In short, if you are not changing the way you think and act then you will never change the way that you look long term.

This is where the 5 laws of body transformation come in.

These 5 laws I learnt when I was at the body transformation academy, learning to do what I do now.

These 5 laws are responsible for changing our mindset and in turn, our lifestyles and our bodies.

Let me explain each one:

1️⃣ LAW 1 - VALUES

Transforming your mindset starts with making shifts to our highest values. Our 'values' are what we value the most in this world, both intrinsically (inside emotion) and extrinsically (achievements/ relationships etc).

Whatever our highest values, we spend most of our time, energy and money on. So if you value your kids, they take priority. Value your car, that takes priority. Value your business, that takes priority.

Not only this, but our highest values are often something that is currently missing to some extent from our lives, but something that we want on a higher level.

We must realize the potential benefits that FITNESS and HEALTH will have on our current highest values, in order to push BODY TRANSFORMATION up there among them.

Only then, will you have incomparable motivation and drive like you have never felt before, to get fitter than ever.

2️⃣ LAW 2 - ASSOCIATION

As mentioned, we must associate our fitness journey with our highest values. Only then will we have the maximum level of motivation and drive.

Not only this though, but when it comes to the necessary tasks required as part of your transformation plan, these must be associated with the results you want and the benefits these bring.

For example, if you associate running with losing weight, getting into a bikini for the first time, going out and meeting new people and generally being happier, you will be more likely to run.

You can however have negative associations. If you associate running with suffocation because it is too hard and you cannot get your breathing together, then your body will not want to do it again and your willpower will be tested every time you run.

Associate what you do, with your highest values and with the benefits you are looking to achieve.

3️⃣ LAW 3 - FOCUS

Once you have your plan of action, you must be able to stick to it. Sure, association will help with this as this gives you a reason to WANT it. But focus comes in the source of motivation, inspiration and drive.

You must be driven towards your end goal. Always looking forward and rarely back.

You must constantly be giving yourself positive reinforcement, reminding yourself of why you are doing it. This step gets easier the longer you do it for!

4️⃣ LAW 4 - NEW REALITIES

Once you have engaged in the journey for a certain amount of time, it starts to become much more natural. It becomes a new reality for you. This is a good milestone because you are now at a stage where you will much more likely keep moving forward automatically and have a much lower chance of dropping back.

This comes from repetition of the previous laws, sticking at the process until you own it and the habits you have established start to becomes unconscious.

5️⃣ LAW 5 - CONDITIONING

Sure, you have now established good strong habits that have lead to and continue to lead you to the results you want. But there will always be a certain level of adjusting as you go.

This is where the law of conditioning comes in.

Tweaking your plan of action, reminding yourself of your values.

You may set yourself new goals here, or tweak the ones you got.

You may adjust your plan, learn or try something new.

Whatever it is, you will be continuously adapting to your new reality.

The good news is, you have made it this far! You are not going back now!

So there we have it, the 5 laws of body transformation that your brain will go through when looking to make physical change to your physique.

Whether you know it or not, these are vital steps in the journey.
